2013 was a very busy year for NES Financial with expansion in all lines of business. The EB-5 industry saw explosive growth and reached record levels this past year, and with it came increased industry oversight and compliance requirements. As a result, many of our clients were looking for additional capabilities to streamline their operations while satisfying these enhanced compliance requirements. We answered with our EB-5 Fund Administration Solution that provides a comprehensive end-to-end audit trail of investment funds and documentation. In addition, we developed our EB-5 Immigration Workflow Solution that helps track and manage immigration status through the EB-5 process.
Along with the growth we experienced in EB-5, we also saw resurgence in 1031 exchanges. As the economy continues to gain momentum, and the real estate industry strengthens, opportunities emerged for our clients to take advantage of 1031 exchanges to better leverage their capital and defer capital gains and depreciation recapture taxes.
