While most of us have been SIP’d and working from home for about 65 days now, we’ve more or less settled in our “new norms.” We caught up with Caroline Moreno, NES Financial’s Senior Relationship Manager, to see what she’s been doing while SIP’d and what new trail you should hike.

First, what exactly do you do at NES Financial?

I work as a Senior Relationship Manager in the Client Services team based out of our headquarters in San Jose. I am responsible for ensuring that our clients are well taken care of as a Client Services Ambassador, and being a friendly voice you may have spoken to if you called into the office or were transferred to me to help answer your important fund questions.

Caroline Moreno, how is WFH while SIP’d?

It’s been quite an adjustment in a variety of ways. From being reduced down to one computer screen to simply not seeing the same faces every day. I even miss seeing our building security team and Manuela, our fabulous office cleaning lady who keeps our office looking spotless and makes us the best homemade tamales!

Also, like everyone else, I’ve had to accept the new norm. However, I will confess that I am loving how comfy my new work attire is! My new work attire consists of t-shirts and sweatpants. (Turns out I have a vast t-shirt collection!)

What have you done that’s new or different while SIP’d?

I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for walks around my neighborhood. With gyms being closed, I’ve been going on walks twice a day to get my blood flowing. On the weekends I’ve been going on hikes in the area and exploring new trails I haven’t been on before SIP. My latest new hike was at the Los Gatos Creek Trail. Below are pics of the beautiful scenery.

What’s the first thing you will do when/if we go back to the office?

I will go straight to the coffee machine! I actually really miss the office coffee. Lately, all I have been drinking is cold brew, but it simply doesn’t compare to the coffee we get back in the office.
