The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ (USCIS) Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO) has released processing times for EB-5 petitions through October 31, 2015.
The delay in processing I-526 and I-924 petitions has decreased. I-526 petitions are now being adjudicated in an average of 12.8 months, and I-924 petitions now average 7.9 months.
I-829 petition processing times have increased slightly to an average of 15.8 months from an average of 15.4, and processing times for all petitions still stretch well beyond many of the goals proposed in recent efforts towards EB-5 reform legislation.
Given the dramatic influx of EB-5 petitions at the end of FY15, many expect processing times to increase even further in the months ahead.
