During the hearing on February 2nd, 2016, a judiciary committee came together to discuss “The Failures and Future of the EB-5 Regional Center Program: Can it be Fixed?” In response to senators’ concerns, Colucci outlined some of the changes USCIS plans to or has already made in their administration of the EB-5 program. These initiatives serve to address a number of concerns legislators have raised regarding program integrity. USCIS has also decided to conduct unannounced random site visits for EB-5 regional centers during the coming fiscal year.
